Century of Chrysler
Chrysler launched to immediate success, and kept pushing the boundaries of technology; even the revolutionary and disastrous Airflow did not stop Chrysler from forging ahead. From Maxwell to Daimler, Cerberus, Fiat, and Stellantis, Chrysler has survived to this day, but one key event slammed the marque’s basic value proposition more than any other. Buy at Amazon.
How much of the original Chrysler has survived the marque’s first hundred years? We sought to find out!
David Zatz uses a quarter-century of reporting and a background in organizational research to bring together the many threads of Chrysler history. This book ties engineering, design, marketing, and corporate culture into a single tapestry.

Corrections, additions, and updates
Version 1.1, December 17, 2024: Fixed a typo on one page, lessened the introduction’s focus on 1924-2024, since the official “brand anniversary” is 2025. Version 1.11 (hardcover only so far, in progress January 24, 2025) improved some text on page 2, making room for a larger Maxwell image, and removed two page numbers for aesthetic reasons. I forgot to update the version number on the title page, though...
Version 1.01: Added to the acknowledgements and fixed a small, not factual, error.
